Initiative for Responsible AI within civil society in Sweden

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our society, the need to ensure responsible and ethical use of this technology has become increasingly apparent. Civil society, which plays a central role in shaping and upholding social values, now faces the challenge of navigating this rapid development. To address these needs, the Civil Society Forum for Responsible AI has been established as a new initiative.

The forum will meet on six occasions during the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025, where participants will collectively explore and discuss the key challenges surrounding AI in civil society. Through a collaborative approach, participants will:

• Identify current challenges and opportunities faced by civil society.

• Develop guidelines that promote sustainability, collaboration, and sound operational principles related to AI.

• Share experiences and identify best practices to strengthen civil society's collective work with AI.

• Create a final document with guidelines and best practices that can serve as guidance for the entire sector.
